Earlier this year, Barrister Akua Reindorf was asked by The University of Essex to review the circumstances surrounding the rescinding of invitations to two 'Gender Critical' academics to speak there. Reindorf's report subsequently made a series of serious allegations about the legality of the University's trans-inclusive equality policies and accused Stonewall (with whom the University partners through its 'Diversity Champions' programme) of giving the University incorrect legal advice (denied by Stonewall). The Report recommended that the University review its relationship with Stonewall. 

Our legal analysis of the Reindorf Review reveals multiple major errors in its conclusions, including misunderstandings of the law. It finds no basis for any claim that Stonewall acted improperly.
